Hi! manpage join (textutils 2.0, April 2001) doesn't tell that
file1 and file2 must be sorted in increasing collating sequence on the fields on which they are to be joined. (taken from hpux's manpage) some students wasted their time ;-) , but hopefully you will correct it asap ( ;-) again ) Thanks for your time, and have a nice day!!
