hi. i'm not able to figure out from the web whether there is a later version of GNU textutils than 2.0e ... if so, please point me at it and i'll test again.
i am including three files: f1, f2 and comm_out . f1 and f2 are sorted lists of six-digit numbers. f3 is the result of this command: comm f1 f2 > comm_out ... as executed on a RedHat 7.0 SMP (plus updates) dual-pentium system. i've reproduced the same bug on a RedHat 6.0 uniprocessor AMD system running GNU textutils v1.22 the bug: certain numbers appear in both column 2 (unique to second file) and column 3 (common to both files). for instance, '139683' . please let me know if you're able to reproduce the bug, and anything else i can do to help. thanks, -mykle hansen- _______________________________________________ Bug-textutils mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-textutils
