The packages textutils, shellutils and fileutils were merged into
coreutils.  If you could try your test again using the latest
coreutils it would help out.

Does it hang or just return without doing anything?  Is it infinitely
looping?  You could tell if your cpu usage was continuously at 100%
because of this process.
