If you try a second time it will succeed. This seems to be something to do with
d-bus activation.

actually it does not work either - quiting and entering to dialer does not help.

Also I got another error:

Dialer Error: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote
application did not send a reply,
the message bs security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or
the network connection
was broken.

E: module-alsa-sink.c: failed to parse sample specification and channel map

0.9.8 has rewritten the channel parsing code, so there might be a problem in
there or in our driver or in alsa which may or may not expose the default
specifications.

Note: on x86 it works, so it's not a general problem with PA 0.9.8

Which applications get SIGALRM on resume? When the system wakes up from resume,
there may be one or more applications interested in being notified about the
reason. Part of this should be done by neod via dbus, but how does neod get
informed about a resume? (Note that it not necessarily was triggering the
suspend)

It's a cross-layer issue, needs support both in gsmd and upper layers.
