Issue #2687 has been reported by csmelosky. ---------------------------------------- Bug #2687: natacontrol software RAID in installer http://bugs.dragonflybsd.org/issues/2687
* Author: csmelosky * Status: New * Priority: Normal * Assignee: * Category: Feature request * Target version: Unverifiable ---------------------------------------- Providing an easier interface for natacontrol RAID/other software RAID in the installer could be useful...I might be the only person that needs this specific configuration, but it might be useful to others. I don't trust my disks to not fail...so I wanted EVERYtHING spread across both disks in a mirror with HAMMER atop that. I'd take a crack at it myself, but I lack the C knowledge. (from http://lists.dragonflybsd.org/pipermail/users/2014-June/128646.html) Issues that still exist from my approach due to installer limitations: 1). None of this is automated 2). Swap is spread across the mirror. (I suppose this could be a useful option to some, but it would certainly have a performance impact) 3). I need to test this beyond 5 minutes in qemu. (Further testing will be done once the box I'll install to is provisioned) -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
