It doesn't seem like the developers who made all those changes to auth_ldap 
for version 2.0.45 tested it very well. Where are they now? 2.0.46 is already 
out and doesn't include a fix. While I'm appreciative of the workaround. 
Having an authentication occur everytime a protected resource is accessed 
without caching is pretty unacceptable. So is having to run an old version of 
the HTTP server that has security vulnerabilities. IMHO, if the developers 
aren't going to come up with a fix for version 2.0.47, they should roll the 
auth_ldap code back to 2.0.44 (which worked just fine).
