I should have tested this myself... It does in fact seem to work correctly with no third-party modules. I think a RequireCanonicalPath would be a good idea, in the sense that I see many people incorrectly using Location/Alias/ScriptAlias etc on case-insensitive file systems. But unfortunately, the people doing this would probably never think to activate such a directive.
