As explained before this patch is not correct: 1. Once you sent the request body it is no longer available. 2. The RFC does not allow to resend non idempotent requests. The only fix I can think of is to send a test request over the connection first that does not trigger (a significant action) on backend side. OPTIONS * would be a candidate for this.
