This is a normal > situation. Ummmm, yeah - thanks Aleksey! Big autodopeslap here. I've been watching this bug for a while and it never occurred to me to 'de-optimize' the global Timeout. I guess I assumed the ProxyTimeout would have superceded Timeout in a VirtualHost (if I'm reading the code correctly, the recent commit for bug 11540 does just that, but I'm still on 2.2.6). Anyway, a new Timeout in the affected VirtualHost fixed this for me (finally - yay!)
