At best your case is a duplicate of PR37770. Please notice the different error
messages from the reporter and your error message:
Reporter:
proxy: error reading response
You
error reading status line from remote server
The error message means that your backend does not even bother to sent a HTTP
status, but just closes the connection without sending *anything*. This an
error of the backend not of httpd.
