Inside the file "/aaa/.htaccess" you cant just do this: Header set AAA ZZZ You have to do this: <FilesMatch ".*"> Header set AAA ZZZ </FilesMatch> And in the other htaccess files you dont use FilesMatch you just use Header set AAA XXXXXXXX Please please try this, I am sure you will be able to reproduce the bug.
