Bug ID: 60317
Summary: IPv6 mod_remoteip
Product: Apache httpd-2
Version: 2.4-HEAD
Hardware: PC
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: mod_remoteip
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Hallo everybody,
mod_remoteip does not support the IPv6 address notation with the address within
brackets:
[2a02:2e0:40c:ffff::3]:80
The above mentioned format is being used for example by KEMP loadbalancers
within the Via / X-Forwarded-For header.
Using this format leads to ips like 127.0.0.6 in the logs.
I also described this issue in a bit more detail within:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/39237887/x-forwarded-for-127-0-0-6-when-using-ipv6/40310893#40310893
Best regards,
Matthias
