I noticed this error on the website's server (not proxy):

TCP: time wait bucket table overflow

I'm seeing a lot of those.  I'm not an expert but according to a reply on
ServerFault

"Try the following commands to determine if you have a lot of connections
coming from one address or if you are under a distributed attack." 

So, makes me wonder if prior to the latest updates to mod_proxy_http2, the
reverse proxy server was opening a lot of connections over and over on the
client's website?  Just a thought.
