            Bug ID: 63553
Summary: Size limit of Apache2 & Apache Tomcat access logs
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.5-HEAD
          Hardware: PC
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: All
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

We have a use case, where we are polling apache2 continuously. As a result, a
huge amount of access logs are getting generated in apache2 and in apache
tomcat, around 1GB per day. So it consumes a lot of memory due to a long
running process.

We don't want to use dontlog directive as it completely stops the logging from
that ip.

So please suggest a way to control the size of apache2 and apache tomcat access
log files.
