Bug ID: 70117
Summary: Apache HTTP Server 2.4.68 Released: Links to itself
Product: Apache httpd-2
Version: 2.5-HEAD
Hardware: All
URL: https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/release/httpd/Annou
ncement2.4.html
OS: All
Status: NEW
Severity: trivial
Priority: P4
Component: All
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
The Apache HTTP Server 2.4.68 Released page starts with:
> The Apache Software Foundation and the Apache HTTP Server Project are pleased
> to announce the release of version 2.4.68 of the Apache HTTP Server
> ("Apache").
“announce” labels a link to
https://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/Announcement2.4.html. Following the link is
confusing, as it brings to the same page.
It does not look like the link target is wrong. It just seems the link is
superfluous; the document is already the announcement page.
By the way, “Please see the CHANGES_2.4 file, linked from the download page” is
also strange, as “CHANGES_2.4” is already a link.
