Hi, I have found that the sound card crash when the wireless pcmcia is also working, if I don't have the pcmcia card activated the sound work without problems.
I have tested with 2 different orinoco pcmcia, one is an orinoco wireless: wi0 at pcmcia0 function 0 "Lucent Technologies, WaveLAN/IEEE, Version 01.01" port 0x4000/64 wi0: Firmware 8.10 variant 1, address 00:02:2d:01:dc:26 Another is a Compaq WL110 wireless and it is also affected : wi0 at pcmcia0 function 0 "Compaq, Compaq WL110 PC Card, Version 01.01" port 0x4000/64 wi0: Firmware 6.06 variant 1, address 00:02:a5:6f:63:53 With a Nec Aterm WL54AG atheros wireless, the sound card works without problems, it is not affected : ath0 at cardbus0 dev 0 function 0 "Atheros AR5212" rev 0x01: irq 11 ath0: AR5213 5.6 phy 4.1 rf5112a 3.6, FCC2A*, address 00:0d:02:ab:2d:1c The sound card freeze all the system when I have at the same time a wireless pcmcia. Looking in the webcvs about the changes in the driver of the sound card auich0, I found this change in this month: http://www.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb/src/sys/dev/pci/auich.c.diff?r1=1.94;r2 =1.95;f=h and in the log said: "Remove config_activate() and DVACT_ACTIVATE. PCMCIA's the only thing that's ever used it, and it's long since been changed to use DVACT_{QUIESCE,SUSPEND,RESUME} instead". The sound card work without problems in OpenBSD 4.9 when the pcmcia wireless card is also working, but now the system freeze when a try to use the sound card and the pcmcia wireless card is activated. The keyboard works after freeze, when I press Caps Lock I can see the light in the panel, but I can not do anything more to kill mplayer or to go to another virtual terminal, mouse is also freeze.
