Looks like Mesa-9.1.4 does not fix this. It turns out that chromium just used software rendering because WebGL does not work at all. Running openarena hangs GPU instantly on loading with an error:

intel_do_flush_locked failed: Input/output error

How can I test if, for example, this diff: http://freshbsd.org/commit/openbsd/304417ea27d0874895cc4e65c30324b7bd14ac22

caused this problem?
