        Running a fairly complex perl application (RT 4.2.2) as root (yes, I 
know better, but don't care in this case), then using top(1) to observe 
behaviour shows inconsistent "user" CPU times in the summary compared to the 
detail below.  Yes, this is running inside a VM, although I don't understand 
how that could affect the math...
