Thanks Nils, that's really useful!  Could you do me another favor?

Could you boot your machine with "boot -c" then do "disable ums" and
finally "quit".  This way your mouse will attach as uhid(4), please 
send me the dmesg and try to suspend/resume.  If it doesn't work,
could you repeat the operation but do "disable uhidev".  This time
your mouse should attach as ugen(4).  Save the dmesg, and try to
suspend/resume again.  

This will help us know if the bug comes from uhidev(4) or ums(4).
