I must add the following.
The drive works in OpenBSD 4.8, but with other hardware (celeron 800Mhz, single core).
The problem is with OpenBSD 5.8 on Ausus E35M1-M (AMD E-350 CPU, 2 cores). In http://www.openbsd.org/ddb.html I read:
If you are running SMP, use the mach ddbcpu N command for each of the N processors you have and repeat the trace command for each processor.
