At the time I sent this mail, I was aware that the SP5100 southbridge was inadequate for high-bandwidth PCI devices, but not that USB devices were also affected. About a month ago I changed the interface for the uaudio devices to the xhci hub on the pcie bus, and I can't recall a crash since then.
