Hi Alexandre, My apologies for the belated reply. I realize now that at the time I wrote my message I didn't have any sndiod flags set. So I followed your advice and tried listening to a mp3 on the console using mpg321 after setting sndiod to "-m play" on the command line. It works like a charm now! I've saved the settings in /etc/rc.conf.local to make it permanent and have written it down for reference in case I ever encounter this issue again. I had overlooked sndiod settings, still being rather new to OpenBSD. My bad. Thanks for your help, much appreciated!
