I plugged in a StarTech USB 3 to rj45 adapter part# USB31000SA, and my rge0 went down.
My rge0 has the following hostname.rge0 file: inet autoconf inet5 autoconf I tried: # pkill dhcpleased # dhcpleased -dvv To get it to start back up again, but this all failed. It kept trying to reboot and reconfigure, but it wouldn't work. Eventually, to get the rge0 working again, I had to unplug the ure0, go into the bios and set it back to optimized defaults and then set it for other OS. And then even after restarting it again, I had to run the above for a bit before it would bring the rge0 back up.
