They could be used to monitor size changes over time. For the ESA pre-qualification activity, we used them to generate documentation, for example: https://rtems-qual.io.esa.int/public_release/QDPV6/rtems-6-sparc-gr712rc-uni-6-scf.pdf The tooling for specification items is in rtems-central. I don't know how you want to deal with this at a project level.
