Using fully linked executables to determine the static memory usage is 
reliable, accurate, and easy to maintain. It would be a lot of work to 
determine the sets of individual functions and this would be a work which needs 
to be reevaluated after code changes. It would also require that the RTEMS 
Tools need to know implementation details of RTEMS and this leads to 
maintenance issues.
