In general, I would recommend sticking to Doxygen/comment changes. I don't 
disagree that moving to C99 types is a good thing. But we do not have any way 
to test those type of changes for many of the BSPs. In this case, 
motorola_powerpc already has at least one MR blocked until a user can test the 
change and approve it. Please split the technical changes from the Doxygen. The 
Doxygen/comment changes will not go into this "cannot merge until a user with 
the hardware tests" black hole.
