No thank you, this isn't a solution at all it's just circumventing what we 
already have in place.  If you want to put the formatting in go for it but the 
configs will have to come later.  My solution works just fine and you can use 
standard developer tools all it does is puts the configuration files in place.  
You can run `rtems-ci-stage` to get the config files and move on with life use 
whatever IDE or formatter.  You'll have to run it periodically to get updates 
but those files won't change much

I'm working on it.  I'm not going to accept a special solution for C source 
when we have other formatting that's being left out it'll all get done at the 
same time.  I have a very good understanding of how to make this work very 
nicely please just let me finish it.

I created that issue after a meeting it's not my fault there is limited 
discussion I can't force others to engage.  I've been extremely up front about 
all of this.
