The newlib discussion brought up that if GCC doesn't have an implementation of 
a built-in function, then it defaults to calling the C function. I have no idea 
how widely these two built-ins are supported by GC. If there was a portable 
alternative to isinfl() that would be great. @rurban any thoughts?
