Sebastian Huber commented on a discussion: https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/docs/rtems-docs/-/merge_requests/236#note_151641 This restriction to ASCII is quite unusual for Git commit messages. The standard is UTF-8 encoding. FreeBSD, Qemu, GCC, Linux, Binutils, Newlib have no issues with non-English names. Unicode 1.0 was released in 1991, so not really a brand new technology. -- View it on GitLab: https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/docs/rtems-docs/-/merge_requests/236#note_151641 You're receiving this email because of your account on gitlab.rtems.org.
