Project:Branches: sebhub/rtems:up/clang-format-comments to rtems/rtos/rtems:main Author: Sebastian Huber ## Summary Issue #5785: _clang-format: A moved block comment keeps the old indentation Commits: - `_clang-format: Indent a moved comment` - `Reformat the comments of the formatted sources` The first commit changes `ReflowComments` from `false` to `IndentOnly`. The second commit runs clang-format 22.1.8 with this style on the 377 sources whose comments the old style broke. Only comments change. The sources which `.gitlab/ignore.toml` exempts from the format check stay as they are. Merge request !1509 formats the generated sources with this style. ## AI Details <!-- Make sure you have read our statement at https://www.rtems.org/generative-ai/ --> ### Prompt used None as a single prompt. The work was done in an interactive Claude Code session on the RTEMS tree. The session found the broken comments in the output of clang-format and traced them to the style option. Each change was directed and reviewed. ### AI model used Claude Opus 5.5 (claude-opus-5-5), through Claude Code. ### How AI was used for the contribution - (x) Formatting - ( ) Test creation. - ( ) Code comments. - ( ) The entire contribution was generated using AI - ( ) AI code completion such as Copilot in VSCode. The session measured the effect of the option on the tree. clang-format did the formatting. The session checked the result and drafted the commit messages and this description. ### Access I have not used a product which claims copyright in its output, and I have legitimate access to the one I used. -- View it on GitLab: https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/rtos/rtems/-/merge_requests/1511 You're receiving this email because of your account on gitlab.rtems.org.
