Peter, Well said. I agree with what you have said in the document. I also believe that building an 835 from a paper claim is not the mountain people are making it out to be. Are there issues to overcome.. yes.. is it impossible.. I don't believe so but the degree will vary based on each payer's paper claims process.
Much of the information some people are complaining about not having is already on a payers system today. Furthermore, some payers are already sending out electronic remits (both prop. and 835 formats) for claims that are on paper...standard form, nonstandard form, napkin, other wood pulp products :o...electronic claims and DDE claims.
