This position will provide needed resources to help maintain the current level of service to the existing client base. Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities: The Scheduling Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of scheduling batch processing in a large scale, high availability mainframe environment. The analyst must be thorough and complete tasks in a timely manner. The analyst must have a thorough understanding of batch processing and understand how making changes, additions or deletions to the batch processing schedule affects batch processing. They must have the ability to resolve abend errors in batch related to scheduling issues. Experience using ASG's ZEKE software is highly desirable. Additional Information: (e.g. Shift Resource, % work that is development vs. maintenance, etc.) Day shift position. 90% of time will be maintaining the day to day additions and changes to the batch schedules using ZEKE. Must demonstrate a can do attitude and willingness to work as part of team. Must be willing to dig in and help where needed. Communication skills are of utmost importance as you will be communicating with several levels of the organization. High School Diploma ;prefer Assoc. in Information Processing 4+ years experience in a large mainframe shop in either computer operations or production control. 3 + years setting up batch scheduling events ultilizing (ASG's ZEKE - Perferred) job scheduling software package in a large mainframe environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Good organization skills,solid analytical skills and ability to ask probing questions. Strong problem solving / trouble-shooting skills. Excellent internal and external customer service skills. - Team player attitude. Entry level experience with JCL desidred. Familiar with ChangeMan and or Endevor.
