We have a need for Business Intelligence Architect for a 6+ month contract. For consideration, OBI (Oracle Business Intelligence) experience is required. Oracle 11g database architecture and OBIEE are strongly preferred.
Position Title- Business Intelligence Architect Location- Philadelphia, PA 19103 Length- 6+ month contract (ideally convert perm but for C2C candidate would be long term contract) Role Level- 7+ years experience with BI and a mix of Database Developer Experience ***Personal Interview in Philadelphia, PA is REQUIRED so candidates must be available and ideally within driving distance for Personal Interview*** POSITION SUMMARY: Description- this position is responsible for the end to end design and development of business intelligence applications and database architectures including physical data modeling and database design, BI tools and applications, dashboard development, continuous improvement and optimization with respect to monitoring, performance, availability, stability and reliability. Daily responsibilities: * Ensure proper modeling and capacity planning framework is in place * Monitor Database Capacity and assist in growth estimations * Review database and SQL performance as part of the development lifecycle and provide support in resolving issues * Review physical data models, data access patterns, and database design as part of the development lifecycles * Review weekly database capacity and performance reports ensuring ongoing health of database design * Lead weekly meetings Education/ Experience Desired: * Minimum of 7 years experience working as a developer in a data driver information environment and will also have a strong background designing and implementing analytic systems, ideally in a consumer facing or web- based business model. * Highly competent in databases, including Oracle 11G ( preferred), Oracle 10G, mySQL, MS SQL Server, knowledge of Teradate, Essbe, Vertica, MapReduct, and Hadoop is a plus * Must have hands-on experience such as OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition) or Micro strategy * 2+ years of core database administration experience including installation, monitoring, maintenance, etc. * 3+ years of application and database architecture experience including designing for high availability, scalability, etc. * 3+ years of data movement using both commercial ETL products and home grown code * 2+ years of data modeling and analytical database design experience.
