Position: Siebel Infrastructure Administrator

Summary:
The Siebel Infrastructure Administrator position involves directly supporting
the design, installation, and maintenance of the Siebel environment. Configure
Siebel environments, including readiness for test and stage environments.
Ensure that all infrastructure is in place and that the environment
connectivity is complete. Troubleshoot environment issues and provide
operational support. Siebel Performance Tuning, Architecture, and
Administration Specialist for a new installation of Siebel 8.x Sales system
with requirements of High availability; ability to scale and support large
transaction volumes with a large amount of end users; real time interfaces with
a multitude of systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Hands-on Siebel 8.x system support, design, technical architecture and
implementations.
* Installing, configure, and troubleshoot Siebel Servers (Enterprise,
Server, SWSE, Gateway, and File System) in a Linux Environment. Apply product
specific patches and post installation patches for Siebel modules.
* Handle and troubleshoot performance issues in Siebel Applications and
implement corrective solutions across a Siebel solution stack comprising of web
server/application server/database.
* Siebel Remote, Multilingual Installation, Knowledge of workflow,
Assignment manager, EIM loads (Legacy data loads).
* Siebel System Architecture utilizing multiple servers Load Balancing
using Siebel internal, F5 Networks Big IP, and MLOV.
* Siebel System Administration daily activities such as configuring
application components, parameters, and configuration files; using the Siebel
command-line server manager interface; logging and event notification,
gathering diagnostic information using Siebel Application Response Measurement
(SARM); supporting High Interactivity clients; and using Application Deployment
Manager (ADM) to deploy application customizations.
* Siebel authentication and access control using LDAP, Active Directory
and SSO (Siebel authentication adapters).
* Migration between environments (Repository & Non-Repository Items
[SmartScripts, Message Types etc]) and use of ADM capabilities.
* User Setup with Local DB and SRF Deployment (development support).
* Design enterprise class system monitoring (transaction, KPIs,
individual components).
* Act as a Siebel technology expert on the team and participate in
architecture, design, development, and deployment activities for Siebel
projects.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, MIS or
similar area of study required with a Master's Degree preferred.
Experience:
* 6+ years of Siebel experience specifically around architecture, design,
and implementation
* Ability to work independently and to learn new technologies quickly
* Possess strong technical and analytical skills and the ability to work
effectively in a multi-tasking environment
* Excellent communication/presentation skills
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements:
* Oracle, PeopleSoft Certified Professional is preferred
* Certified Siebel Core Consultant is desired
Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:
* Experience in Siebel 8.x on Linux (RHL 5.x) / UNIX (AIX), Windows 2003.
* Experience with Oracle 11g on Linux/ UNIX.
* Good Oracle application DBA and Oracle SQL performance tuning knowledge.
* Experience with Oracle Apache HTTP server / Weblogic web servers.
* Experience with Linux Operating System and environment;
* Good Shell / Perl scripting skills.
* Experience with the Siebel Sales_enu is desired.
* Oracle Applications 11.x ; Oracle ADF ; Oracle SOA ; WebMethods; Oracle
BI tools (reporting).
