SAP Basis Administrator
SUMMARY:
The SAP Basis Administrator’s role is to supervise and operate the
organization’s SAP systems through implementation best practices. This
includes installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, and maintaining the
company’s investments in proprietary SAP technologies and the systems
supporting the SAP infrastructure. This individual will apply proven
communication and problem-solving skills to solve issues related to the
deployment of mission-critical SAP software.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Leadership and organizational experience required
2. Netweaver development or configuration experience
3. AIX support background
4. Unix scripting expertise
5. SAP security, emphasis in SOD/SOX compliance
6. Change control experience
7. Proven track record of running a successful Basis team
8. Local preferred, minimal travel impact on work and meetings
9. Participate in the oncall rotation for Basis and Security
10. Extensive knowledge of Solution Manager
11. Self-starter with strong decision making abilities
12. Informatica Powerconnect experience a plus
13. IBM DB2 experience required
14. DR experience (preferably with DB2 HADR) a plus
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelors Degree, preferably in IT related field.
2. Minimum of 4 years SAP Basis experience; including at least 3 full life
cycle system implementation, 2 technical upgrades, and at least 3 years
providing operational support in an Enterprise SAP environment (big
company).
