The Praxis Application area within IT/ETS needs to fill a six month
Applications Systems Analyst Programmer - Sr position. The candidate with
the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities will need to start as soon as
possible.
*Work Summary*
The candidate filling this Applications Systems Analyst Programmer – Senior
position will be utilized to develop, code, test and deploy Praxis
application development work packages (projects - specifically ePraxis),
scheduled for delivery 3Q2011 through 4Q2011.
All work to be completed by this individual has been approved and funded by
the Praxis business area. The DB2 / COBOL Applications Programmer – Senior
person will take direction from the Lead Praxis ETS staff person. Business
requirements application are in place for these work assignments. Primary
needs are for DB2/Cobol development work required, testing and
implementation.
*Responsibilities*
The ideal candidate will be responsible for work related to all funded and
approved 2011 Praxis development activities.
*Experience*
*Experience*: The ideal candidate must be competent, experienced, and
proficient in DB2 /COBOL and batch JCL, MQ Series and Easytrieve skills are
desirable. Experience in mainframe legacy processes is required. **
*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*
· 10 years of mainframe legacy development experience
· 8 years of DB2 experience
· 8 years of COBOL programming
· Familiar with development testing processes
· Familiar with SDLC
*Additional Preferred Skill Requirements*:
- Easytrieve
- MQ Series **
- AFP **
- FTP **
- Power Designer Skills**
*Education*
A Bachelors degree with extensive coursework in Computer Science or an
equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable
knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.* *
