*6 mo Business Systems Analyst – Intermediate (2 positions)*
The ECT Application area within IT/ETS needs to fill two, six month Business
Systems Analyst positions. The candidates with the necessary knowledge,
skills and abilities will need to start as soon as possible.
*Work Summary*
The candidates filling these Business Systems Analyst – Intermediate
positions will be involved with all necessary System Analysis work and will
use *Power Designer* to create Functional Requirements based on Business
Requirements. This position will also develop, code, test and deploy ECT
application development work packages (projects) scheduled for delivery
3Q2011 through 4Q2011.
All work to be completed by this individual has been approved and funded by
the ECT business area. The DB2 / COBOL Business Systems Analyst -
Intermediate person will take direction from the Lead ECT ETS staff person.
Business requirements application are in place for these work assignments.
Primary needs are for the Analysis of Business requirements and the
development of Functional Requirements and Use Cases using the Power
Designer tool. There will also be some DB2/Cobol development work required,
testing and implementation. This staff member will also be required to
provide night time support.
*Responsibilities*
The ideal candidate will be responsible for work related to all funded and
approved 2011 ECT development activities.
*Experience*
*Experience*: The ideal candidate must be competent and experienced in
Systems Analysis and the use of Power Design to document Functional
Requirements and Use Cases. Also proficient in DB2 / COBOL / Mainframe and
batch JCL. Experience in mainframe legacy processes is required. **
*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*
· *Expert PowerDesigner skills***
· 10 years of mainframe legacy development experience
· 8 years of DB2 and Mainframe, recent experience
· 8 years of COBOL programming
· Familiar with development testing processes
· Familiar with SDLC
*Additional Preferred Skill Requirements*:
- MQ Series **
- AFP **
- FTP**

*Education*
A Bachelors degree with extensive coursework in Computer Science or an
equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable
knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.* *
