We have a requirement of BO Admin consultant. Following is the job
description:



Position: Business Objects Admin

Location : Washington DC/Herndon VA

Duration: 9 months contract

Job Type:- C2C

Rate : DOE



Required skills:
===============
    Minimum 4 years of experience in Business objects R2/ R3 and BI
4.0

    Knowledge of the SAP Business Objects XI 3.1& 4.0 architecture in
windows operation system

    Experience in clustering and load balancing techniques

    Experience in  installing, configuring, tuning and troubleshooting
Business objects with Tomcat

    Experience in Life Cycle Management tool

    Experience in performance testing and capacity planning

    Experience in failover and recovery planning, design and testing

    Excellent teaming skills. Resourceful and self starter with
minimal hand holding required

    Ability to multi-task and provide expertise for multiple
infrastructure related efforts across concurrent project tasks

    Ability to work with operations team and vendors to resolve
infrastructure related issues

    Detail oriented. Strong communication and problem solving skills.



  Preferred skills:
==============
    Knowledge of Java 1.5/1.6

    Experience with Business Objects Java SDK



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
========================
Build and install Business Objects 4.0 and evaluate the new features
in windows environments

An understanding of Web Servers, Application Servers (Tomcat) and
Databases (Oracle preferred) is preferred. He/She must also have
insight to Java application development and architecture

    Troubleshoot and debug any errors occurring in application server
environment, application debugging. Analyze and tune Web, App server
configurations

Setup version control in  LCM and train the user to use it for content
deployment

Adhere to assigned project schedules with willingness to complete
projects within time. Coordinate activities with other team members
and developers

Train business users on Business Objects best practices

Ability to thrive in high visibility, fast-paced, and constantly
evolving project environment

Analyze user-developed reports for compliance with reporting standards
and develop recommendations to tune queries or otherwise optimize
report design

Develop and maintain library of FAQs in SharePoint site and other user
documentation to assist business users in report  & universe
development activities
