Hello, Denys! To cope modules.dep.bb locking, being writable, being able to be edited manually (possibly incorrectly) and so on I made a patch which ... eliminates this file at all. All dependencies are now memory-backed. Depmod, R.I.P. (depmod :== true)
Instead, I introduced the only human dependable configuration of module system: specifying options to modules via optional /etc/modules/<modulename> files. Works like a charm. I marked spiky edges with FIXME. Please, try it. TIA, -- Vladimir
