Is it really more useful than googling the same bit? I wouldn't say that, for example, having OMAP referentce manual in the linux kernel source tree would be any more helpful when I hack on omap kernel than having it stored separately. Our lawyers tell me that in order to distribute busybox in the context of maemo I have to remove this file due to its questionable distribution terms. I thought then this will be useful for the mainline busybox as well since noone wants questionable things in their source distributions. Just my 2 cents.
