Hi All, Yashodan thanks fr your info on the mudpuddling recipe..... Also try out Nelson's bait recipe - over-ripe gauva stored for 2 days...... he placed it on a rock about chest high in the sunlight... so easy to take pics...
That day we collected some dead (rotting) crabs and got the Nawabs too.... We finally got the right recipe for the mud puddle . We made some waterproof pits , put in some river sand and pebbles . And we had toppings of fishwater , dog urine , electrol , beer and duly rotten hibiscus leaves . An occasional crab attracts the Nawab. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From: Blaise <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Thu, December 9, 2010 12:30:58 AM Subject: Re: [ButterflyIndia] A great opening ! It was great to have both - people and butterlies - in the conservatory. The food offerings for butterflies seem to attract the birds more -with bulbuls feasting upon them ( redvented / redwhiskered / yellowbrowed / grayheaded ). Most heartening was to find the mud puddle being frequented - a notable visitor was the blue banded Pierrot. The program 'Breakfast with Butterlies " has had an auspicious start !
