Nelson, I will be in Sikkim and Meghalaya from March to May, so I can take a
break and swing by central Arunachal if several of us are interested in
visiting the area. Otherwise you people are welcome to visit me either in
Sikkim or in the Garo Hills.

With best regards,

Krushnamegh.

Yes kk, but what i thought of a buffer account that could help subsidise the
students that come for this meet, any surplus could always be kept for the next
meet in oct as we wont be able to ask for funds every time. anyway this
issue can be sorted out with the mutual consent with some senior members of
the group
Also since the next meet will be held only in march april it will be too early
for students to let us know three months in advance right now.

Are you planning to come down in march or april , wanted to spend two weeks
in central arunachal pradesh during this time

Re: [ButterflyIndia] Encouraging students to join us

Nelson, shouldn’t we have the list of participants and deserving students at
hand first? For some meets we may have to generate more money, for others less,
depending on whether and how many students we have who cannot afford the fees.

Krushnamegh.

of Krushnamegh sir, I would be very happy to help someone in the field work and
other related work, It has dual advantage for me in terms of learning and
economy.
I am Pune based, completed my masters in microbiology, and Looking forward to
do PhD in ecology and evolution.
It will be great if I get an opportunity to help someone in their work.
Thank you Krushnamegh sir, and thank you all.

There was a recent letter from a student wanting to join the butterfly meet
but was asking for a discount. wonder if it be possible to give students a
25 percent discount for the butterfly meet, i am sure many of us would not
mind, paying a little more. after all we were students once upon a time and
it was so terribly difficult for us to get funds for anything besides our
college related activities

or we could put it up to the group, we have 3 or x no of students wanting to
join anyone willing to sponsor part of their expense. for a start i would
not mind contributing one thousand rupees towards a general student
discount for the next meet. any more members willing to help?
