Roy, I have volunteered to do whatever is needed. I am pretty busy with MSWE
for the next two weeks, but will then have time to help with Field Day. I have
a pretty good size bbq and a pick up. My problem is that both need some work
and I am short of time. My bbq has not been used for quite a while, but was
OK. My pickup was stuck in my pasture until a couple of weeks ago when I
finally got it out. It needs to be washed and it is out of inspection with the
check engine light on so I need to wash it and get it to the shop for repair.
My current project is to get antennas ready for MSWE and depending on how
things go also Field Day. I am hesitant to shoot my mouth off too much on the
air when everything needs work and I am trying to scare up vollies for MSWE. I
also have a K3, TS-480SAT and TS-850 that I can bring if needed.
I have the Hy-Gain Beam from Eddie and a set of filters that I hope to check
out in the next few days. I am working on a couple of poles for horizontal
antennas and I have an Alpha-Delta 40/80 antenna. I have ordered a 6 meter
Quad from DuneStar which should be here any day now.
I will help you all I can, but my plate is full. I did volunteer to Bob to
represent TDXS but he told me he had asked Mike and Mike has accepted. I think
that is great and I am glad to have you head the Field Day operation. My plate
is full enough and my signature block is too long already so I don't need more
titles, but I will try to help where I can.
I can hang on to and store the antennas until you are ready or stage them where
you would like. My house is a bit far from Richmond, but it is available.

To the members and families of BVARC, ECHO and TDXS,
Your Field Day Committee is in desperate need of one or more people to bring a
large BBQ pit and prepare food on Saturday June 28.
We do not have the services of our past food prep team and the BBQ pit at the
Fire Field is unusable.
Catering our event is a big budget buster and is impractical. Our alternative
is doable but, short of what we have become accustomed to.
We are considering sandwich party trays and pizza so far. Plus, we also
entertain serious suggestions.
Regardless of what we serve, we need people that can make it happen. So,
support your clubs in this activity. I invite you to volunteer your service
and earn yourself a star.
We need a person/s who will take the lead in the food department and see that
the task is done. Also, others that will help out.
Please send me your reply and what you would like to do to:
