I have my station setup similar t Bruce’s, but with different equipment and software. I can’t imagine doing it any other way…it doesn’t have to hurt that much.

Cocos Island is near enough that you should be able to work them, but a directional antenna and or amplifier is always nice. I am without a good directional antenna these days, but if the rain will hold off for a while I may be able to fix that.
