GM, Jon,
I didn’t know there was an area of scientific study known as psychoacoustics…now I do. Thank you. Psychosomatic was chosen as it is describing things (as I understand) that are “all in the mind” and the original question dealt with the determination of an actual physical technical issue OR a perception issue which dealt with the mind. So, hence, my faux pas. If you are interested in such psycho phenomena and related studies, have a read of Oliver Sacks – Musicophilia. Intriguing stuff. 73…w5rh From: BVARC [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jon Noxon via BVARC Subject: Re: [BVARC] Psychosomatic / Technical Question Rick, why did you use the word "psychosomatic"? Perhaps you meant psychoacoustic, the term dealing with the perception of sound. Jon - KF5TFJ
