I regret that I never had a chance to meet Bill in person, but he was one of my first on-air contacts when I came back to ham radio a couple years ago. He was a welcoming voice to a prodigal son, and we talked on 2 meters every evening for several nights. I feel greatly honored to have known him even as little as I did, and I will always remember his kindness, and his wisdom-saturated voice.
