You missed something Ravi. Bill was 100% good guy! He tried hard not to
complain to anyone,even though he hurt bad. The cancer probably was from an
old traffic accident which never healed. We will all miss Bill a lot. BVARC
will miss him more than most realize. TDXS, Ten Ten and SHOT will miss him as
well, not to mention Norma who took such good care of him and his ex and their

I regret that I never had a chance to meet Bill in person, but he was one of my
first on-air contacts when I came back to ham radio a couple years ago. He was
a welcoming voice to a prodigal son, and we talked on 2 meters every evening
for several nights. I feel greatly honored to have known him even as little as
I did, and I will always remember his kindness, and his wisdom-saturated voice.

William (Bill) D. Stone, WS5H, passed away this morning after a long battle
with cancer. As more information becomes available, I will post in on the
reflector. Bill touched many of us and will be missed. Please think good
