10 meters was open until past 11:30 last night, with signals coming in from
NE, IN, MO, IL, etc. as loud as S9+. 10 meters can be strange like that.
Hopefully, we'll have a repeat of that again tonight.

I am up to 128 QSO's (actually, pretty good for a ten meter contest these
days) as of last night when I pulled the plug, but so far nothing so far
this morning. The band is dead as a doorknob. I have to good ole CQ repeater
in N1MM going so wish me luck.

Looking on www.dxmaps.com <http://www.dxmaps.com> , it looks like KM3T is
going to give me a run for my money this year. He's making a lot of
contacts! Seems like occasionally, a big time contester jumps in the fray,
but so far I've been able to hold them off for 1st place. So.please get on
10 meters and look for me (and the rest of the local gang). Looks like I'm
going to need your help to beat this guy.

And don't forget our special net at 8pm, 28.488 tonight. We had a number of
locals check in and a lot of QSOs were passed out.

73.CU IN THE CONTEST!

p.s..as I write this, I just worked a station in CO.first QSO of the day!
