The new version operates like “G Line” on microwave freqs…single wire with launchers and receive cones ….and the wire rides the single wire without radiating….harmonics?? Hardly an issue with 1+GHz signals…..attenuation will kill any harmonics….NO issues with amateur or other users….this is how BPL SHOULD have been implemented in the beginning…running HF over unbalanced unshielded wires was just plain STUPID…

It describes AT&T's plans to test/implement a gigabit internet system over power lines. Anyone heard of this? I wonder if there are any HF/VHF/UHF noise implications. http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/columnist/baig/2017/01/31/t-plans-deliver-fast-internet-over-power-poles/97260568/ Robie - AJ4F _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.tdxs.net/mailman/options/tdxs-list/k5izo%40yahoo.com ________________________________ Cumulus Media Disclaimer This message contains confidential information and is intended only for the individual(s) named.
