Chris is spot on ... you ain't gettin any interference from 1 ghz stuff in
the hf bands... non-resonant==natural attenuation==no harmonics ..

And I too I have always wondered who's bright idea it was to attempt to run
HF over UTP

The new version operates like “G Line” on microwave freqs…single wire with
launchers and receive cones ….and the wire rides the single wire without
radiating….harmonics?? Hardly an issue with 1+GHz signals…..attenuation
will kill any harmonics….NO issues with amateur or other users….this is how
BPL SHOULD have been implemented in the beginning…running HF over
unbalanced unshielded wires was just plain STUPID…

Anyone ever hear of harmonics? ? Wonder if the Hams that operate way up
there will be effected ? ?

Not the same…it will not be using HF-UHF but rather m/w freqs…

All,

I read this article a few hours ago. It describes AT&T's plans to
test/implement a gigabit internet system over power lines. Anyone heard of
this? I wonder if there are any HF/VHF/UHF noise implications.
